When deciding on a young person, we also decide
whether or not to work with their parents. We
realize that the cooperation, assistance and emotional support of
the family are critical to the success of a client. Our
process is what the industry refers to as "an audition". For many of
you, this is your very first audition. Congratulations on taking the
first step. In this audition our National Director will speak to the
group for twenty to thirty minutes. Vital information on the
industry will be given. After our National Director speaks,
everyone will be seen individually, asked some basic questions and
then given a commercial "cold read" to perform on camera. The JRP
staff will make selections based on availability or opening in a
type cast (based on age, height, hair color, eye color and
ethnicity), industry knowledge, questioning, GPA (Grade Point
Average), and performance on camera. Selections are then placed on a
"call back" list and required to come back to the studio on a
specific day for further testing and possible
acceptance. |
When JRP works with a client, that person is seen and interviewed by
industry professionals several times a month. This being the case,
development must include self-esteem, public speaking ability and
proper goal setting - short and long term. Grooming means hair, nail
and make-up care. Which also includes proper exercise, diet and skin
care. |
Marketing is a
key ingredient to the success of our company and clientele. Our
clients are seen by the largest groups in the world several times a
month. They are seriously considered for television, feature film
and print work. Working in this industry is not based on a
submission of photos.
It requires meeting and networking with
potential employers face to face. If you are currently in an acting
program or an aspiring model represented by a local agency and
wondering, "Why am I not working in this industry?" Marketing is the
answer. This is what makes us unique and unlike any other company in
the world. |
